About Holyrood
Our History
Holyrood was started in November of 2015 in Princeton, NC. We began as a house church, meeting in our vicar's living room. As Anglicans, our we cling to a rich history dating back to the earliest days of the Protestant Reformation in England, and we continue to cherish and preserve our heritage while serving the community in the present.
Strengthening Our Faith
Our services are based on the liturgy from the Book of Common Prayer. Occasionally we elaborate or expanding upon the Prayer Book liturgy with appropriate resources. Around 95% of our liturgy is taken directly from the Bible and has been formatted to help us grow closer to God, and closer to one another. We pray together, sing together, and we strive to walk together in faith and life.
Building a Spiritual Community
Our church is more than just a place of worship; it's a spiritual community where people from different walks of life come together to worship the Lord. We also strive to encourage and uplift one another in our journeys. We believe in the power of prayer and the power of community. At Holyrood, we strive to build meaningful connections that extend beyond the walls of the building and into the community.
